The Board of Directors
Holy Family Communications was formed by a small group of lay Catholics committed to using modern means of communications to spread the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Today, Holy Family Communications is a non-profit organization, incorporated in the District of Columbia, and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a publicly supported charitable organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
It is governed by a Board of Directors, all of whom are committed to spreading the teachings of Jesus Christ, as interpreted by the Magisterium of Roman Catholic Church.
Currently, Holy Family Communications has four people on its Board of Directors:
Lawrence Kapp, Ph.D.
A fallen-away Catholic for many years, Lawrence came back to the Faith by listening to audio tapes of Catholic evangelists like Scott Hahn and Steve Wood. He received his doctorate in political science from the Catholic University of America, and is a certified instructor of Natural Family Planning. He is a parishioner at Saint Raymond of Penafort Catholic Church in Springfield.
Barbara Clougherty
A writer and mother of five, Barbara has been a tireless advocate of Catholic Radio for many years. She is a parishioner at Saint Veronica Catholic Church.
John O’Connell, M.D.
John is a graduate of the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York and of the Georgetown University School of Medicine. He is a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist practicing in Washington, D.C., and a parishioner of Saint Bernadette Catholic Church in Silver Spring
Susan O’Connell, R.N.
A graduate of the University of South Florida where she earned her Bachelors degree in Nursing, Susan was baptized into the Catholic Church on Easter of 1994 in the Diocese of St. Petersburg, Florida. Her growth in the Catholic faith was nourished by listening to a Catholic Radio station in Tampa. She is a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Silver Spring.
